Fiona Murray

Managing Director of Orchard Events, Fiona Murray is fluent in French and German and has lived and worked in Germany, Belgium and most recently London before making the move to the Channel Islands. Following studies in International Marketing & Languages and then in Tourism Management, her career began in tourism marketing firstly with Dublin Tourism and then the Irish Tourist Board.

She later went on to spend a number of years in London working with a global event management agency organising corporate events and hospitality for the sponsors of Formula One teams at all of the Formula One Grand Prix worldwide, where she travelled the world and worked at the highest level of event organisation at the pinnacle of the motorsport world.  Fiona’s first project on arrival in the Channel Islands was to organise the sixth summit of the British-Irish Council, which took place at Castle Cornet in Guernsey in November 2004 and brought guests such as the Deputy Prime Minister John Prescott and Ireland’s Taoiseach Bertie Ahern to the Channel Islands for the first time.
